- Body treatment options:
- Natural healing. My wife's friends in Kampung Senang are ready to support and help. I will start with DIY detox right away (new blog entry). Start with Homeopathic or Chinese Traditional Medicine which is readily available in Singapore.
- Chemotherapy. I have a deep fear for this. Need to be clear to the oncologist that we want a type of chemotherapy that focuses on curing the cancer, not with the focus to extend life. For the latter we use natural healing through diet.
- Radiotherapy. Its effects on surrounding tissue is my concern. In Amsterdam Med Center it is no longer used to treat Melanoma. I will await the PET scan results and listen to the recommendations. If possible, I want to minimise this treatment.
- Alternative medicins and treatments. Further research to be done for this type of Melanoma, awaiting the PET scan result. Singapore is advanced in adopting latest research findings, whereas Japan is very slow.
- Heart: Just keep on going strong.
- Listen to my wife and children. Plan to do things together.
- Keep loved ones informed (this blog) and share their worries and sorrow (calls).
- Spirit:
- Meditate every day to prepare a discipline for times to come.
- Visit the Wesley Church, talk to the pastor. Pray with him.
- Attend services regularly with my daughter. Sing and praise the Lord.
- Mind: Dig deep in what bothers me. This requires a cold start in Process Automation terminology. Identify all sources of stress and discuss a resolution with the owner.
- Work related stress:
- Discuss with my superior and ask for his guidance.
- Agree to take breaks more often for natural healing.
- Work things out with my various staff, and delegate more.
- Make arrangements to travel less.
- Financial and retirement stress: Fix a plan with my wife and son.
- Other hidden stress: Be honest to myself and accept my shortcomings.
- Preventive: Be prepared.
- Study the road of treatment and possible side effects.
- Get advice on how to best deal with this.
- Take preventive steps to soften the impact.
- Check blogs and forums with similar cases.
