Good scan results!

The muscle pain and discomfort the last days due to influenza was mixed with side effects of treatment and the actual pain of the sickness. It was there fore good to have a scan taken to see the actual progress of the treatment.

The CT scan result of today (25-Jan-2018) is compared with the result of the CT examination on 30-Oct-2017.  (3 months ago)

Continued good progress:

• Brain: The tumor found in the right cerebellar bridge corner artery continues shrinking
• Kidney & spleen: Metastatic lesions of the left adrenal nodule and retroperitoneal cavity on the dorsal side of the spleen are reduced and maintained
• Bones: Multiple metastasis found in bones of the whole body is slightly osteoclastic change progressing from the last time (osteoclastic activity = repair activity in the bones)
• Gall bladder: The gall bladder transition is also shrinking

Suspicion due to lack of clear info:

• Liver: Low absorption nodules found in the left lobe of the liver are hard to identify
• Head: A soft tissue shadow is recognized in the postoperative part of the left nasal malignant melanoma operation. There is no local recurrence showing a clear increase trend

New findings:  

• Chest: Mild swelling appeared in the upper respiratory lymph node and became apparent from the previous surgery. There is a possibility of metastasis and follow-up observation is necessary

Nothing found:

• Neck: No significant swollen lymph nodes in the neck
• Lung: I have no pulmonary metastasis. No pleural effusion (Water outside lungs)
• Abdomen: No significant swollen lymph nodes in the abdomen. No ascites (accumulation of fluids)

The blood test is near-perfect and my doctor is very happy with this. He doesn't worry too much about the new swollen lymph node as it was small.

The switch

When sleep simply refuses, to quietly carry me away,
My mind full of thoughts, purring along as if it’s day.

To end the endless, flip the switch no one can,
I listen to my breathing, relaxing as per plan.

The hands of the clock, pushed or pulled along,
Past and future they split, precise and never wrong.

Is the time of night really, meant to sleep and forget?
Was it decided just to, make me miserable in bed?

Up again, making tea, a mug, soothing and hot,
Pain is everywhere, also in places it should not..
